§ 12-1. Workers' compensation for volunteer firefighters.

In compliance with the workers' compensation statute of the state, firefighters who make up the Grovetown Volunteer Fire Department are hereby classified as municipality employees to the extent that in the event an accident occurs while engaged in firefighting activities on behalf of the city, they will be covered with workers' compensation self insurance fund.
