§ 3-108. Copy of building plans to be submitted with application; approval and maintenance of premises.

  • Each application for a license under this chapter must have submitted with it a copy of the plans of the building in which the proposed establishment will be located. If the construction of the building has not been completed at the time of the filing of the application, a copy of the building permit must also be provided. The completed building or the proposed building shall comply with all ordinances of the city, regulations of the state revenue commissioners and the state. If a license is issued relating to an establishment located in a building, the construction of which is not complete at the date of such issuance, the license shall be subject to the condition that the building must be approved by the building inspector when completed. Each applicant for a license shall submit with the application evidence of ownership of the building or proposed building, or a copy of the lease if the applicant is leasing the building. If the applicant is a franchisee, such applicant shall submit with the application a copy of the franchise agreement. All facilities for which a license shall be issued shall have adequate sanitary toilet facilities and shall be adequately illuminated so that all hallways, passageways and open areas may be clearly seen by the customers in such facility. The licensee shall maintain the premises, the building in which the premises is located and the surrounding grounds and parking areas in a neat, clean and well maintained condition and appearance, free of trash, litter and any unsightly conditions at all times.
